30 ANNIVERSARY OF PSP

The Polish Phlebological Society (initially as a nationwide Phlebological Society in Katowice) was established in 1991. The name was changed to the Polish Society of Phlebology (PTF) in 1992 during the 2nd General Assembly. The first president of the Society was Dr. Tomasz Drążkiewicz, MD, and the 1st Congress took place in Bielsko Biała in 1994. After 30 years of the Society’s existence and rapid growth of phlebology in Poland, today we have the opportunity to meet and participate in the next congress of the Polish Society of Phlebology presenting previous and current achievements in this discipline.

As part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the PTF, we have planned a number of scientific meetings taking place since the beginning of this year, including a series of webinars called Practical Phlebology. The celebration of the 30th anniversary of the PTF will also involve other events, including a special jubilee scientific session as part of the congress, dedicated materials on the congress website devoted to both the history and the present situation of the Society, and the publication of the Phlebology Manual planned for this year. We cordially invite you to the International Congress of the Polish Society of Phlebology on June 10-12, 2012, combined with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the PTF and to participate in the next meetings organised by the PTF, which we will be announced on the society’s website.

Some of the well-wishes we’ve received for the 30th anniversary of the Polish Society of Phlebology.
